While plastic is by far the most commonly used material for toys, like in other industries, here, too, its use has come under fire. This has caused leading toy manufacturers including Lego or Mattel to explore the use of alternative materials not derived from fossil raw material sources. 

The bio!TOY conference brings together materials producers, manufacturers and other stakeholders in the toy industry who are working to boost the sustainability of this space.

This third edition of the conference, scheduled to take place in the 'Toy City' of Nuremberg 21-22 March, will once again be a hybrid event.

The conference is supported by key industry platforms and interest groups, including DVSI, Spielwarenmesse, and the Agency for Renewable resources FNR.
